Rachel Antonelli

Rachel is a second year PharmD student at UConn School of Pharmacy concentrating in pharmaceutical sciences. Rachel joined the Hadden lab in January 2023, hoping to expand her knowledge of pharmaceutical research and to explore the unique ways in which biophysiological processes can be altered via the simple yet extraordinary chemical properties of pharmacologic agents.  Within the lab, Rachel has contributed towards a variety of projects, focusing primarily on computational small molecule drug discovery, biochemical binding assay development, and organic drug synthesis and purification. Outside of the lab, Rachel is heavily involved within the School of Pharmacy, and she works as a pharmacy intern at both Hartford Hospital and Big Y Pharmacy. She hopes to one day combine her knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences with her passion for delivering remarkable healthcare to accomplish a meaningful pharmacy career that enhances the lives and wellbeing of others.
