Raisa Hossain

Raisa is an Honors Molecular and Cell Biology student from Manhattan, Kansas. She joined the Hadden Lab in Spring 2026 with a strong interest in medicinal chemistry, particularly in drug development through small molecule interactions. Her current research focuses on developing small molecule inhibitors targeting Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV). Outside of the lab, Raisa serves as Treasurer of the UConn Health Policy Advocacy Coalition (HPAC), works as a community educator with the Collegiate Health Service Corps (CHSC), and volunteers as an English tutor through English Language Learners (ELL).
